Bought a 10 dollar inflatable mattress for a hostel in Prague and got a backache that lasted my whole trip

I spent $10 on a flimsy air mattress for a Prague hostel and woke up every two hours when my hips hit the concrete floor. The thing deflated by 2am and I limped around the city for three days with a wrecked back. Anyone else get burned by cheap sleep gear on a trip?

Oh @sean_walker45 is absolutely right, my wallet and spine clearly hate each other too. I bought a super cheap sleeping pad at a camping store in Berlin once and it was basically just a thin piece of foam that felt like concrete by morning. Every time I rolled over I heard this sad little "pfft" sound as the air leaked out, and I spent the next day walking around museums hunched over like a question mark.
