Am I the only one who tracked every penny for 6 months before realizing I just needed to cut my subscriptions by half?

I was manually logging $4.50 coffee runs and $12.00 lunch tabs in a spreadsheet until I noticed my bank statement showed three different streaming services and two gym memberships I never used eating up $78 a month, so has anyone else had that gut punch moment where the tiny line items added up to way more than the daily stuff?

Yeah, "gut punch moment" is exactly right. It's like you're so busy watching the little daily things that the big recurring charges sneak right past you. I've noticed this pattern in a lot of areas of life, not just money. People get so focused on the small, daily decisions that they miss the big, monthly habits that are really driving the whole thing. It's like trying to save a leaky bucket by plugging one tiny hole while ignoring the bigger leak on the other side.

$5 Netflix subscription is barely draining your budget compared to that $200 car insurance policy you haven't shopped in 4 years.
