Can we talk about switching to a cash envelope system for groceries?
I thought it was a hassle, but using $400 in cash last month made me actually stick to my list and I had $60 left over. Anyone else have a method that forces you to pay attention like that?

Wait you had SIXTY DOLLARS left from a four hundred dollar grocery budget. That is honestly mind blowing. My cash just evaporates, especially with produce and snacks. I have to know what you're NOT buying. Are you skipping all the fancy cheese and pre cut fruit, or is your family just way more disciplined than mine?

Honestly that reminds me of the time I tried to only buy store brand everything for a week. It was so boring but my bill was shockingly low.

Used to roll my eyes at the idea of pulling out cash for groceries, but after trying it last month I was honestly surprised how much it slowed me down and made me think twice before grabbing extras. Still not perfect, but my credit card bill definitely looked nicer.
