Heard a cashier tell a customer "your total is $47" and they pulled out exact change

That little moment at the grocery store in Tulsa last week got me thinking. I used to think budgeting meant complicated spreadsheets, but maybe it's just paying attention to the small stuff like knowing exactly what you'll spend before you hit the register. Anyone else had a random moment that flipped how you see money?

I feel you on that. It's funny how little things like that can just snap your whole mindset into focus, you know? I saw a guy at the hardware store the other day do the same thing and it honestly made me feel like I was overcomplicating everything.
