Oh, it's the pride, for sure. The money's nice, but it's temporary. That feeling of making a whole meal out of stuff you grew or that weird can nobody else wanted... that sticks with you. It's like you beat the system for a night. You're not just eating pasta, you're eating victory pasta with slightly dented tomato sauce.
