My refrigerator died at 3 AM with $80 worth of Thai takeout inside
Came home late Tuesday, opened the fridge to grab leftovers, and it was all warm. My good Pad See Ew and spring rolls were ruined. Had to drop $200 on a used mini fridge off Craigslist same day - anyone else have an appliance fail at the worst possible time?

Oh man, that's brutal. I mean, I once had my freezer die overnight and lost a whole batch of homemade cookie dough I'd been saving for weeks. That was heartbreaking enough, but losing actual takeout is a whole different level of pain. $80 of Pad See Ew just gone forever? Oof. I'd probably cry over the spring rolls alone. Hope the mini fridge at least works out better than my Craigslist find did, I had to tape the door shut for a week.

Wait, am I the only one who thinks $80 on Thai takeout is kind of a lot? Not judging your choices but that's a serious investment in leftovers. Maybe look at it this way - the fridge dying saved you from eating three day old takeout that was probably getting sketchy anyway. I've definitely had moments where I was sad about wasted food then realized I was just gonna toss it later anyways. The used mini fridge on Craigslist sounds like a solid hustle though, at least you got a deal out of the whole mess.
