Shoutout to tracking every dollar for 6 months straight

I started writing down every single purchase back in March, coffee runs, gas, even that $0.50 candy bar. After 6 months I pulled the numbers and saw I was dropping $85 a month just on energy drinks from the 7-Eleven on Main Street. Swapped to a $12 pack of powder mix and now I'm pocketing that difference each month. Has anyone else found a small habit that added up way more than they expected?

That $85 on energy drinks is wild. My sneaky big expense was buying lunch at the deli counter every work day, which added up to $200 a month for sandwiches and chips. Once I started packing a simple lunch, I banked that money and it felt like a free raise.
