The cashier at Kroger taught me a lesson about impulse buys
Was checking out last week with a bag of chips and a soda I didn't really need. The cashier, older guy maybe 60s, just looked at me and said 'you know that's $4.50 you could put toward a frozen pizza later.' Made me realize how many small purchases add up. I stopped grabbing extra stuff at the register after that, saved about $15 in a week. Has anyone else had a random stranger's comment stick with you like that?

Wait $4.50 for just chips and a soda? That's insane honestly. I don't shop at Kroger much but that price is wild for a snack run. I mean I know everything's gotten expensive lately but that still makes me do a double take. The cashier was right though, that's a whole frozen pizza or like a big thing of milk and eggs combined. Makes you wonder how much we all just throw away on little stuff without thinking.

Nah I gotta disagree honestly. $4.50 for chips and soda is a STEAL if you think about it because you're paying for CONVENIENCE not the food itself. Like yeah you could buy frozen pizza but that takes time and effort to cook, sometimes you just want something quick you know?
