I always thought my weekly spreads had to be perfect grids
I was watching a video from a creator named Jamie at the Denver Public Library bullet journal meetup, and she just drew a big messy circle for her tasks. It hit me that I was spending more time on my ruler than on my actual plans. Now I just freehand boxes and it saves me like 20 minutes every Sunday. What's one rule you've broken in your bujo that actually made it better?

oh yeah, @spencer_hayes71 i feel like the ruler is a trap honestly. once i ditched straight lines and just let my boxes be kind of wonky, my brain stopped caring about perfection and started actually planning things out. saves a ton of time and honestly the messy look kinda grows on you after a while.

My weekly habit tracker used to be this perfect ten slot grid. Honestly, it stressed me out when I only had three things to track that week. Now I just draw little lines for each habit day as I go, like tally marks. It looks messy but it actually gets used, and that's the whole point for me.

Totally get that. I tried bullet journaling for a month and spent more time drawing straight lines than actually doing any of the habits.
