I just realized I've been using my bullet journal wrong for two years

I was always trying to make each weekly spread a perfect piece of art, which took me about three hours every Sunday. Last week, I was running late for my nephew's birthday party in Springfield and just had to scribble my tasks down in a basic list. That messy page ended up being the most useful one I've ever made because I actually used it every day. I think I was so focused on making it look good for Instagram that I forgot the whole point was to help me get things done. Has anyone else had a moment where they realized they were overcomplicating their system?

Yeah, read a whole blog post about that exact thing. The fancy setups just become another thing to manage.

Right? Sometimes the simple fix is the best one.

Totally get what you mean, andrewh43... my friend went all in on a smart home setup and now half our visits are him trying to get the lights to turn on. It's like the tech is supposed to save time but just adds this whole other layer of stuff to fix. Kind of makes you miss the simple plug in a lamp and flip a switch days.
