My weekly spread went from cluttered to clean after one small change

For about 6 months I was cramming every task, note, and appointment into one giant daily list, and it looked like a mess by Wednesday. I switched to a modular layout where each category gets its own little box on the page, and now I can actually find what I need without flipping through three pages. Has anyone else found a simple tweak like that that totally changed how your journal works for you?

right but is it really that deep where you need color coded highlighters for every single thing? like i get wanting to organize stuff but red for urgent and green for work feels a bit much for a personal journal. i mean you're not running a fortune 500 company out of a notebook, right? the boxes thing makes sense cause it's simple compartments, but full on traffic light system seems like overkill for just getting through your week.

Man isn't it funny how one little layout change can make such a big difference. I had the same problem until I started using color coded highlighters for different types of tasks. Red for urgent stuff, blue for personal, green for work related. Now I can glance at a page and instantly know what needs doing first without reading every single line.
