My unpopular opinion: pre-ground beef beats fresh grinding for weeknight meals.
It saves time without sacrificing flavor for busy households.

Ever think about the cleanup time saved too?

Totally. Grease splatter all over the stove top is a nightmare. Flour dust gets into every little crack on the counter. Not having to scrub baked on cheese or wipe down sticky counters saves a solid twenty minutes. That time adds up, and it's just less mental stress after eating.

Why did I always grind my own beef? I was sure the flavor was better. Then I tried pre-ground on a rushed Tuesday. Made chili, and it tasted exactly the same. Skipped washing the grinder and wiping up greasy spots. Now I get it, the time saved is totally worth it.

I read a blog post that said for slow-cooked meals like chili, the beef grind doesn't change the flavor at all. All those spices and the long cook time mask any tiny difference. So @paule53 is spot on, avoiding the messy cleanup is the best part!
