I finally started oiling my cast iron every time instead of once a season
For probably 6 years I only rubbed oil on my skillets when they looked dry, and they always felt a little sticky and patchy. About 5 months ago I started doing a light coat after every single wash while the pan was still warm, and I swear the surface on my 10 inch Lodge looks like glass now. It takes maybe 30 seconds and I'm a little mad I didn't do it sooner. Anyone else change up their cast iron routine and notice a big difference, or am I just late to the party?
Mad I didn't do it sooner" is the story of adult life, right? I avoided flossing for years for the same dumb reason, and now it's just part of the deal, 30 seconds, no drama.
