My trusty old Stanley thermos finally gave up after 15 years
Dropped it off the tailgate at a job site in Austin last Tuesday and the glass liner just shattered inside. That thing survived being tossed around in my truck bed, dropped on concrete, and even a couple of falls off ladders. I dug through my garage and found an old aluminum one my dad had from the 80s, cleaned it up, and it works perfect. Anyone else have a favorite thermos that lasted way longer than you expected?

Hate to be that person but 80s thermoses had plastic liners, not aluminum.

Dropped it off the tailgate you say? My buddy Mark did the SAME thing with his dad's old thermos from the 70s, and he was SO mad at himself, but then he found another one at a garage sale for two bucks, still works like new.

Yeah that garage sale find is the dream right? My uncle dropped his old green Stanley thermos off the boat dock and he was devastated because it was his dad's from like '68 or something. He ended up finding a beat up one at a flea market for a dollar and it still held coffee hot for hours, just had a dent in the side. Something about those old metal ones just last forever even after you mess them up.
