Tried a gasket on my dust collector and got way less static buildup

Ran a cheap rubber gasket between the blast gate and the main line last week, figured it would just cut leaks but my filters actually stayed cleaner. Anybody else run into weird fixes that did something totally different than you expected?

Clever accidental fix" yeah that's my favorite kind. Usually I mess something up trying to be clever and make it worse. But sometimes you just hit the right button by accident and everything works. Happened to me with my thermostat once. Hit some random reset combo and it finally started working right.

Keep a notebook by your computer. Write down every accidental fix you find.
