Rant: Wasted $250 on a fancy ergonomic chair that didn't help my back
I spent $250 on this high-end ergonomic chair from a store in San Jose. The sales guy said it would fix my lower back pain from sitting all day. After 3 weeks my back hurt worse. I went to my doctor and he said the chair's lumbar support was hitting me in the wrong spot. Now I just use a $20 cushion from Target and it works better. Anyone else get burned by expensive chairs?
Honestly I think you are overthinking this. A chair is just a chair not a magic cure. Your doctor told you the lumbar support was off so you adjusted it. Seems like you already solved the problem with a cheap cushion. I don't get why people blow up about spending a lot on stuff when they can fix it for twenty bucks. Is it really that big of a deal to just swap the chair or return it? Sometimes the simple fix is the right one.
