Overheard a kid ask why we still have paper resumes at the coffee shop
I was grabbing a latte yesterday and heard this college kid ask his friend why companies even ask for paper resumes anymore. Made me think about how I started my first office job in 2008 and we literally mailed printed resumes to HR. Now everything is LinkedIn and digital portfolios but some old school places still want a hard copy. Does your industry still care about paper resumes or is it all digital now?

Even construction companies out here still want printed resumes when you walk on site, it's wild lol. Old habits die hard I guess, especially with the older generation running hiring.

Old habits die hard I guess" is the truth right there. I went to apply at a warehouse last month and the lady at the front desk looked at me like I had three heads when I asked if I could email it in. Ended up having to run to the library to print one out, felt like I stepped back in time lol.
