Back in the day, you could trust a 2x4 to be straight

Had a whole stack of studs from the lumberyard bow like crazy after sitting in my garage for a week. Anyone got a good local supplier in the Tacoma area that still stocks decent framing lumber?

A whole stack of them? How long were they in your garage before they went bad?

They were actually in the basement!

Check for any moisture or damp spots down there first. I mean, my aunt's basement ruined a whole box of her books because of a slow pipe leak. Maybe get some of those silica gel packs and toss them in with the stuff you're storing. It's not perfect but it helps a lot.
