I always cut my tack strips with a hacksaw until a guy in Kansas City showed me his method
He just scores them with a utility knife and snaps them clean. I argued it would leave jagged edges, but his strips were perfect every time. What's your go-to for cutting strips on a big commercial job?

That snap method would never work on the heavy duty strips we use.
