Just hit 1,000 yards of carpet stretched in a single week for the first time ever.
That number hit me when I was cleaning my power stretcher last night, and it made me think about how much a good knee kicker can still save your back on those tricky, small closets.

Honestly, I've never trusted a knee kicker for a proper stretch, even in a closet. That tool is just for positioning in my book. A power stretcher is the only way to get it tight and locked in, no matter the room size. Relying on a kicker feels like asking for a call back in six months. What's your method for setting the stretcher in those tight spaces?

Yeah, when you said "asking for a call back in six months" that hit home. I've seen it happen, Abby. A buddy used just a kicker on a small hallway, and sure enough, waves showed up before the year was out. In a tight closet, I'll set the power stretcher head in the doorway, using the frame as a solid point. Then I'll use a short pole or even a block to get the right angle on the back wall. It's a pain, but it's the only way to get that lock.
