Spent 3 hours on a seam that just would not lie flat yesterday

It was in a corner where the pad was torn from the old install, and the tack strip was set too far back. Had to pull everything up, replace a strip of pad, and reset the strip. Anyone have a better method for fixing a bad corner like that?

Ugh, that "tack strip set too far back" detail is the worst. When you had to reset the strip, did you end up moving it closer to the wall, or did you just try to stretch the carpet harder over the original spot? I always struggle with how much to bend the carpet around the corner itself.

Honestly I just moved the strip closer, no way I was fighting that stretch again. Still ended up with a tiny gap in the corner that bugs me every time I see it.

Nah, I'd rather fight the stretch once.
