Vent: Why does everyone assume Lakewood has the best west side schools?

I keep hearing people say Lakewood schools are top tier and that's why they moved there. But I lived off Clifton for 5 years and my kid had 3 different math teachers in one year because they kept quitting. Meanwhile Rocky River schools are actually ranked higher on state tests and the class sizes are smaller. Has anyone else looked at the real numbers instead of just going by what people say?

Did you look at how the teacher turnover rates compare between the two? Heard that's a bigger issue than test scores for most parents.

Man, isn't it just exhausting to watch good teachers get burned out and leave? I've seen schools with low turnover where kids actually feel safe because they know their teachers will still be there next year. That stability matters way more than a couple extra points on some test.
