Changed my mind about parking garages after a trip to Denver
I always thought parking garages were just concrete holes to lose your car in. But the one at 16th and Arapahoe had a green roof with actual trees and benches, and I sat up there for 20 minutes. Has anyone else seen a parking structure that didn't totally suck?

Theres something really nice about finding a space that was designed to be more than just functional. That green roof sounds like a quiet escape right in the middle of the city, which is pretty rare. I once found a garage in Portland that had murals painted on every level, each one a different local artist. It turned getting my car into a little art walk. Wish more cities would put that kind of thought into parking structures instead of just making them dark and depressing. Your mileage may vary, but that Denver one sounds like it was actually worth hanging out in for a bit.

Worth hanging out in for a bit" - I mean, it's a parking garage. Not exactly gonna change my life because there's some grass on top.
