Finally filled that gap in my X-Men run after 3 years of hunting
I was at a tiny booth at the Minneapolis con last Saturday and the guy had the exact issue I needed behind a stack of old Wizard magazines, but the corner was bent so I had to talk him down from $15 to $8 right there while he was trying to pack up.

Man that feeling of finally getting the last piece is something else. I spent two years tracking down a specific issue of Uncanny X-Men and when I finally found it the guy had it priced at $20 but the spine was all chewed up. I ended up paying $10 and honestly I still look at that bent corner every time I flip through and it kind of makes me smile. Three years is a long wait and you earned that one.

That bent spine thing is funny because I got a copy of Secret Wars #8 once with a weird coffee ring on the cover and the seller was like sorry about that and I was like no way that's character. Three years is serious dedication though. I remember my buddy spent like four years trying to complete his run of Amazing Spider-Man and when he got the last one he framed it and everything. Sometimes the wait makes it sweeter especially when you find it in a random bin somewhere you least expect it.
