Finally gave those heated dive gloves a shot after my buddy swore by them in Puget Sound last winter.
My hands stayed warm for a full 90-minute inspection job in 45-degree water, which completely changed my mind about cold water gear, so what other game-changing cold water items am I missing?

Oh man, heated vest. Total game changer. Keeps your core warm so your hands and feet don't get sacrificed.

rosel50 makes a great point about core warmth. Most people forget that your body pulls heat from your hands and feet to protect your organs. A heated vest stops that panic reaction. It's like tricking your body into thinking it's already safe and warm. Have you found a particular brand that balances heat with not feeling too bulky?
