Walk-in cooler door gasket, the $47 fix I kept putting off
Last month our walk-in at the diner was cycling nonstop and the compressor sounded rough. I finally grabbed a cheap gasket kit for 47 bucks from the supply house in Akron and swapped it in 40 minutes. The unit runs half as often now and our electric bill dropped about 80 bucks last week. Anyone else ignore the obvious seal on their cooler before calling a tech?

Ngl the compressor sounding rough is the part that got me. That's just the fridge screaming 'please fix my door before I die.' I did the same thing last year on our unit, kept putting it off because I figured it was the condenser or some expensive part. Ended up being a 50 cent strip of rubber and yeah, the bill dropped so fast I felt kinda dumb for letting it run hot for two months. Also love that you timed it at 40 minutes, I spent an extra 20 just fighting the old gasket off with a screwdriver like it was personal.
