Figured out the trick to getting my neighborhood Buy Nothing group to actually respond
For months I'd post stuff on our local Buy Nothing group on Facebook - perfectly good tools, extra lumber, even a working microwave - and get like zero replies or people would say "interested" then ghost. Tried posting at different times, better photos, nothing worked. Then I noticed one lady in the group always got quick picks for her stuff. Looked closer and she always put the pickup deadline in the title. Like "Free - Dewalt drill - pickup by 8pm tonight." Tried that myself last week with an old pipe bender I was clearing out. Had 4 responses in 20 minutes and someone actually showed up on time. Anyone else run into this weird social code in their local groups?

4 responses in 20 minutes for a pipe bender? That is genuinely shocking in my group.

Agree with you @hayden_rivera, that sounds way too slow for a tool like that.
