I finally got that weird soft spot in the warehouse slab to set right after messing with the mix for three whole hours.

The boss said to just add more water, but that made it worse, so I had to pull a bag of accelerator from the truck and hand trowel the area twice to match the finish.

Honestly I gotta push back a little here @carr.james. I mean yeah the guy probably messed up and all that but one beer doesn't really fix a whole work day gone wrong. Ngl I've been in that spot before where a manager just tosses you a drink like that's supposed to make everything okay. Tbh it feels a bit cheap to me, like a pat on the head instead of actually owning up to the mistake. If my boss did that I'd rather just have a real conversation about what happened and how to avoid it next time.
