Old timer told me to stop using too much water on my finish
Had a guy with 30 years in the trade come watch me work a driveway in Denver. He said I was adding too much water to the surface. Told me to let the bleed water evaporate naturally and use a mag float instead. Anyone else get called out for overworking the surface?
Oh man, you just hit on something I've been noticing way too often lately. That oily slick is definitely a red flag, like when you see that rainbow shimmer on puddles after a rain and you know it's not just water. It's wild how common it is now, almost like we're all just supposed to pretend it's normal. I swear every time I'm near a creek or a lake I end up spotting that same sheen, and it just makes me wonder what else is floating around that we can't see.
