PSA: My neighbor's rant about 5G towers made me check the actual city council minutes

He was going on about how they're being installed to activate microchips from the vaccines, so I looked up the meeting notes from last month online. The whole proposal was just about improving cell service near the high school, and the vote was 7-0. How do you even start a debate when someone's facts are that far off base?

I saw a report from the Arizona board that showed over 90% of appeals get the same unanimous vote. That system seems pretty locked in, @joseph_roberts. It makes you wonder if the hearing is just a formality before they rubber stamp the decision.

Rubber stamp' is exactly right, that's what it feels like. I've been on the other side of that table a few times and honestly I think my cat has a better chance of changing the outcome than the actual hearing does. At least my cat would probably knock something over and make them reconsider.
