Changed my mind about those expensive shears
Dropped $300 on a pair of 'pro' Japanese shears thinking they'd be a game changer, but honestly my $80 pair from beauty school still cuts better for my hand. Has anyone else found that the super high end stuff isn't always worth it?

It's like that with so many things these days.

That "game changer" line hits home. I bought into the same hype with thinning shears last year. The real question is whether you got properly fitted for the expensive pair, or if you just bought the model everyone online raves about. My fancy shears were technically perfect but never felt right in my hand, while my old beater pair just fits.

Exactly, the hype is so real. I dropped a ton on "ergonomic" kitchen knives that reviewers loved, but they make my wrist ache after five minutes. My cheap grocery store knife just balances right.
