Hair spraying from 6 inches away was my biggest mistake for 7 years

I used to hold the can like a foot back and just mist everything hoping it would hold. My updos never lasted past lunch and I blamed the products. Then a client showed me how she does her own prom style, layers of hairspray from 4 to 6 inches and letting each coat dry for 10 seconds before the next. That simple change fixed my bridal work overnight, last Saturday I had a bride dance till midnight with zero flyaways. Anyone else ever realize they were using a whole product category wrong for years?
