Just wasted $300 on a 'professional' color remover kit that wrecked a client's hair. What brands do you actually trust?

Ugh, that's the worst! What brand was the kit that did the damage?

Man, it was one of those generic store brand kits. But honestly, it's not just about the brand. It feels like everything is getting cheaper but they still charge the same price. The plastic feels flimsy, the instructions are useless, and you just know it's going to break. It's happening with so many things you buy now, not just model kits. Makes you wonder where all that money is actually going.

Was it one of those Revell starter kits? I've had the same thing happen, the plastic just snaps right at the worst spot. Ericgonzalez is totally right, the quality just isn't there anymore even though the price stays high. I've started hunting for older kits at hobby shops or online, the used ones are often built better. It's more work to find them, but at least you don't feel like you wasted your cash.
