Was sure selling sourdough starters was a fad, made $40 last weekend

I started three batches back in February just to see if anyone would actually buy them. Turns out people in my neighborhood will pay $8 for a fed starter in a mason jar. Anyone else found a weird local demand they didn't expect?

Made $12 last weekend selling bags of my extra garden tomatoes to neighbors who apparently don't know how to grow their own. Figured that little hobby business would tank after two weeks, but nope, I'm basically a local produce mogul now with a grand total of maybe $60 in profits this summer. My wife keeps giving me that look whenever I mention another tomato plant in the backyard, like I'm about to turn our whole property into a farm stand. Kind of makes me wonder what else I'm sitting on that people would actually pay money for, maybe my old comic book collection or that dusty bread machine in the garage.
