Market Basket vs Hannaford price match drama, is it worth the hassle?
So I hit up the Market Basket in Nashua last Friday and watched a lady get a full cart price matched to Hannaford's flyer. Took the cashier like 15 minutes and they had to call a manager for half the items. She saved maybe $23 but held up a line of 8 people. I get it, times are tight, but is saving a couple bucks worth being THAT customer? I've seen Hannaford match Market Basket prices too but their policy seems stricter. Anyone else ever tried this? Did the store actually honor everything or did you get stuck arguing over a 40 cent difference on eggs?

Nashua Market Basket actually caps price matches at 4 items, so that lady probably didn't follow policy. I tried matching eggs once and the cashier said the cap applies to everything, not just produce. Honestly, saving $23 is decent but not worth a manager call and the dirty looks from people behind you.

@john_singh man, I got the SAME lecture last week over cat food. Four item cap is real.
