My tablet crashed mid-stream during a big art reveal

I was live on Twitch from my apartment in Austin, about to show the final piece for a client commission. Right as I hit the reveal button, my screen froze and the whole program shut down. I had to quickly switch to my backup laptop and pull up the file from a cloud save, which took maybe two minutes of dead air. Has anyone else had a tech fail during a live art event and what's your backup plan?

Tech always fails at the worst possible moment.

Actually, tech fails all the time. It just feels worse when you need it. A printer jams on a Tuesday afternoon, no big deal. That same jam five minutes before a deadline is a crisis. It's the timing that makes it memorable, not the failure itself.

My phone once died right as I was pulling up my boarding pass at the airport gate. It's like tech can smell your panic. The universe just loves those little stress tests.
