Rant: Had to pick between a cheap apartment in Bangkok and a good coworking space in Chiang Mai

My budget was tight, only $800 for the month, so I went with the cheaper rent in Bangkok thinking I could just work from cafes. It's been a disaster with constant noise and spotty wifi, making client calls impossible. Anyone else had to choose between location and workspace and regretted it?

Ugh, did you check any coworking day passes back in Bangkok?

My first month in Ho Chi Minh City was exactly like that. I blew my budget on a decent apartment but ended up working from a cafe next to a construction site for two weeks straight. The stress from trying to find a quiet corner for meetings just isn't worth the cheaper rent.

Check coworking day passes in Bangkok, they're a real lifesaver. That cafe plan almost never works for serious work, the noise and wifi are just too unpredictable. I made the same mistake last year and lost a client over a dropped call. A cheap monthly pass at a good spot is often way less than you think. Splitting your budget for a solid workspace is non-negotiable if you have calls.
