Shoutout to the guy who said my paint prep was 'like trying to wash a car with a toothbrush'

He was right, I was just wiping walls with a damp rag. Bought a $15 pole sander and did a quick pass before my last bedroom, and the difference is wild. Anyone have a favorite brand for sanding sponges for trim work?

Watched my buddy try to sand a dresser in his garage with no plastic up. I mean, it was a total mess. His wife came out an hour later and her black car looked completely gray. They found dust on plates inside the kitchen, which is like, three rooms away. He just used a cheap mask and was blowing gray stuff out of his nose for two days.

My uncle decided to sand his entire deck with a belt sander and no tarp. The neighbor called the cops because they thought his white house was on fire from all the dust. He had to explain it was just wood powder from a home project. The real crime was the layer of grit on everyone's cars for two blocks. He still finds sawdust in his gutters every spring.
