Those fancy edge banding strips cost me $40 and a whole Saturday
I bought a pack of iron-on edge banding from a big box store for $40 thinking it would be a quick way to finish my workbench top. Turns out the adhesive didn't stick worth a darn on the plywood edge and it peeled off after two days. Anyone know a cheap way to get a clean edge without buying a router bit or have I just wasted my cash?

Did you sand the plywood edge first before putting the banding on?

@betty_white39 Did you use a roller after ironing it on or just press it by hand?
