I was checking a set of foundation plans from a firm in Charlotte and saw they used a different scale for the site plan.

The main sheets were at 1/4"=1'-0" but the site plan was at 1"=30'. I almost missed it and would have ordered the wrong stakes. What's your go-to method for catching scale changes on big drawing sets?

Honestly that seems like a minor thing to miss. Just check the scale box on every sheet before you do anything. Takes two seconds. People make way bigger mistakes all the time. Not sure why this is such a big deal.

Right? It's such a basic step. I once saw a whole set go out with the site plan at 1/8" and the details at 1/4". Contractor called totally confused. Took hours to fix and reissue. All because someone didn't tick that one box.

Charlotte firms always mix scales, barbarac95 has a point.
