Warning: My new drafting pencil snapped mid-detail on a Denver site plan
I was finishing a tricky drainage detail for a Denver city permit last week when my 0.5mm lead snapped right in the clutch. I had to carefully pick the broken pieces out with a pin from my kit, which took about ten minutes and messed up my line weight. What's your go-to pencil for tight site work that won't break under pressure?

Try a 0.9 for real pressure, actually holds up.

Ever try a 0.7 for drafting?

Nah, 0.7 is way too thick for real drafting, @mason_foster68. That's more for general writing. You really need a 0.5 or even a 0.3 for the fine lines.
