Client told me my extractions were too aggressive
This lady in her 50s came in last Tuesday and told me I was leaving marks that took 3 days to heal. Made me really look at my pressure. I switched to doing wet extractions with a looser grip and stopped digging. Has anyone else had to completely back off their technique because of feedback?

Did your friend get better results after backing off?

Terry, you said "better results" and I gotta push back on that a little. I think backing off isn't always the answer. Sometimes that "aggressive" pressure is exactly what's needed to get the job done right, especially on thicker skin or deeper congestion. If the client is healing in 3 days, that's pretty fast and might just be normal tissue response, not actual damage. I'd rather have a few temporary marks and clear results than go too light and have someone come back still broken out.

Are we sure the redness and marks aren't just part of the process though? In my experience, a little inflammation means the skin is actually reacting and healing. Your mileage may vary but sometimes that "aggressive" pressure saves a second visit.
