Watched a crew dig 6 post holes by hand before I said something at a job site in Tulsa
I showed up to help a buddy on a 200-foot privacy fence last month and his whole crew was using clamshell diggers in rocky clay. After 3 holes took them over an hour I grabbed my PTO auger from the truck and knocked out the remaining 17 in about 45 minutes. Anyone else find it hard to suggest using better tools without sounding like a know-it-all?

Old habits die hard, some folks just don't know what they're missing with power tools.

Wait, you're telling me there are people who still crank windows down by hand in 2024? @umam95 I can't imagine going back to that after getting used to power tools for everything.

Thing is, this kind of stubbornness shows up everywhere, not just with car windows or tools. People get comfortable with their routines and completely shut out anything new, even if it's clearly better. It's like those folks who still pay bills by mailing a check when online banking takes two seconds. Or the ones who refuse to use a GPS because they "know the roads" even though they get lost every single time. Change is scary for some, I guess, but it's wild to watch someone work twice as hard for the same result just to prove a point.
