I used to skip the bins at the Goodwill in Springfield, but a guy there told me 'that's where the good stuff hides'.

He said he found a first edition Stephen King book in one last month, so I gave it a shot and pulled out a vintage Pyrex bowl for $2. Why did I ever think it was just junk?

Honestly that's the best advice for any thrift store. The bins are a mess but they're totally worth the dig. Tbh I never leave without checking them now.

My local Goodwill bins in Portland are where I found a whole set of 1970s Corelle plates for like five bucks. I mean, you have to dig through some actual trash, but the payoff is wild sometimes. I pulled out a perfect condition denim jacket last week that looked like it was never worn. It's basically a treasure hunt if you don't mind getting your hands a little dirty.

Nah, that sounds like way too much work for maybe finding one decent thing lol.
