This past Saturday was my best haul in 3 years
I hit up the St. Vinnies in Portland around 7am and found a complete set of vintage Pyrex bowls in the Snowflake pattern for $12. Then on the way home I stopped at a yard sale and snagged a working 1970s turntable for 20 bucks. I don't even collect records but I might start now. Anyone else ever have a day where everything just lines up?

Hold up, is that dishwasher thing actually true though? I've been throwing my vintage pyrex in the dishwasher for years and haven't noticed any fading. Maybe I just got lucky or something.

Dude, if you're gonna start with records, do yourself a favor and don't buy a brand new player. Hit up a pawn shop or another thrift store for something from the 70s or 80s, they're built way tougher than the cheap suitcase ones. And for the love of god, don't store those Pyrex bowls in the dishwasher, even if they say dishwasher safe. The pattern will fade quick and then you're just a guy with boring white bowls.
