Finally got paid for a job I did three months ago

Honestly, I did a website for a small shop in Denver back in April and just got the check yesterday. I had sent three emails and called twice, and I was sure the money was gone for good. Tbh, it was only $750, but it covers my rent for the month. I almost gave up on chasing it because it felt like too much hassle. Has anyone else had a client pay up way later than you expected?

Five months is wild, @the_parker. I had a guy disappear for almost a full year, then the full invoice just showed up in my account. No email, nothing. It's such a weird mix of relief and pure confusion.
