I finally lost it when a guest leaned on my freshly oiled table

We were having a get together and I just applied oil to a walnut table. This person comes in and rests their drink on it, right on the wet surface. I had to stop them and explain, but they just laughed it off. Now I have a ring stain to sort out. It's so frustrating when people don't respect our work. I think everyone should learn about finish care. A simple warning could save so much hassle.

Can you believe how clueless some people are? That sinking feeling when you see the ring is the worst. I had a friend rest a sweating beer bottle on my freshly treated desk. Left a cloudy spot right in the middle. Took me an entire weekend to fix it. They never even apologized.

Oh man, that is the absolute worst. Watching someone lean on wet oil is like slow motion horror. The lack of respect for the work is just as annoying as the stain itself.
