Bought a cheap rock tumbler for $60 and it broke after two cycles.

The motor burned out and ruined a batch of agates from Lake Superior. Anyone know a good brand that can handle harder stones?

My old Lortone 33B ran for ten years straight. Those cheap plastic ones are basically toys. You need a real barrel and a metal motor frame. Thumler's Tumblers are the other solid brand. They cost more but won't fry your good rocks. I'd save up for one of those instead.

Yeah, those plastic ones are basically toys, so why not just save for a Lortone?
