Can we talk about regifting that went hilariously wrong for me?
I used to think regifting was fine as long as you kept track of who gave you what, right? But back in 2017, I regifted a fancy candle to my cousin Sarah for her wedding shower, and she pulled out the card from the original giver that I forgot to remove. It said "Happy 50th Birthday, Mom" on it, and Sarah's only 28. Now I just buy a generic gift card for everyone under 30, which feels boring but at least nobody gets a candle meant for their grandma. Has anyone else accidentally left an old tag on a regift?

Haha oh man that's brutal. I'd be tempted to just say "well the candle's still good though right?" and pretend like nothing happened. But yeah leaving the original card in there is a classic move. I once regifted a "World's Best Dad" mug to my friend's baby shower and just told them it was a prophecy for the future. They didn't laugh but I thought it was funny.

Gotta respect the prophecy move lmao. I once regifted a scented candle that literally had "Happy Birthday Grandma" written on the bottom of the jar. Just handed it over and said "it's a vintage find." They bought it too which tells you how gullible my friends are lol.
