I was at the big craft fair in Austin and the gift baskets were all the same
Every stall had those wicker baskets filled with generic soaps and a candle. It felt so lazy and impersonal for a gift. What's a more thoughtful gift basket idea that actually means something?

Ugh, that's so true (and honestly a little sad). A basket built around someone's actual hobby, like a new knitting project or their favorite coffee, would feel way more personal.

It's the thought that counts, but the thought has to be real. Generic gifts just show you didn't think at all.
